EAST PRAIRIE -- Lucy A. Adams, 85, of East Prairie, died Thursday, Oct. 28, 1993, at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston.
She was born Aug. 27, 1908, in Union City, Tenn., daughter of Joseph and Inez Pirtle. She married Rev. George Tyus, who preceded her in death. She later married Rev. Lewis F. Adams, who also preceded her in death.
Adams was a member of New Hope Baptist Church in Pinhook, its Mothers Board, and Queen Esther Chapter 17 Order of Eastern Star.
Survivors include a son, Rev. T.R. Tyus of East Prairie; a sister, Alberta Adams of Chicago; five grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren.
Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Monday at Mercy Seat Baptist Church. The Revs. Roosevelt Johnson and J.L. Posey will officiate, with burial in Oak Grove Cemetery at Charleston.
Friends may call at Sparks Funeral Home in Charleston from 6-7 p.m. Sunday.
