Lucille Smith

Lucille L. Smith, 75, of Jefferson City, Mo., died Thursday, July 18, 2002, at Capitol Regency Hospital in Jefferson City.

She was born July 25, 1926, in Advance, Mo., daughter of Walter and Ella Phillips Propst. She and Gene W. Smith were married June 14, 1949. He died Feb. 13, 1985.

Mrs. Smith retired from Owens Illinois Plastic Co.

She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, John V. and Debra Smith of Jefferson City; a sister and brother-in-law, Lillie "Lil" and Jerry L. Reynolds of Cape Girardeau; a grandson, Dakota Smith of Macon, Mo.; two granddaughters, Montana and Maryland Smith of Jefferson City.

She was preceded in death by a brother, Bloyse Propst.

The funeral service was held July 23 at United Pentecostal Church in Festus, Mo. Burial was in Sikeston Memorial Park Cemetery at Sikeston, Mo. The Rev. Leroy David Holman officiated.
