LUCILLE LITCHFORD

SIKESTON -- Lucille Litchford, 84, of Sikeston died Monday, April 3, 2000, at Clearview Nursing Center.

She was born July 7, 1914, at Morehouse, daughter of John and Mary Etna Holder Ellis. She and Frank Litchford were married June 6, 1935, at Sikeston. He died Sept. 4, 1981.

Litchford had been a stitcher at International Shoe Co. and was also a private duty nurse. She was a member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church.

Survivors include three daughters, Mary Williams of Springfield, Rosemarie Stinnett and Linda Melkersman of Sikeston; seven grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two brothers and a sister.

Friends may call at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel from 5-7:30 p.m. today. The rosary will be recited at 7.

Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Francis Church, with Msgr. William Stanton officiating. Burial will be in Garden of Memories Cemetery.
