Lucille Lance, 105, of Scott City, Mo., died Nov. 15, 2011, at The Lutheran Home in Cape Girardeau. She was born Feb. 16, 1906, in Fornfelt to David Joseph and Barbara Susan Montgomery Brant. She married William Russell Lance on Feb. 13, 1923, in Jackson. He preceded her in death Aug. 9, 1977...

Lucille Lance, 105, of Scott City, Mo., died Nov. 15, 2011, at The Lutheran Home in Cape Girardeau.

She was born Feb. 16, 1906, in Fornfelt to David Joseph and Barbara Susan Montgomery Brant.

She married William Russell Lance on Feb. 13, 1923, in Jackson. He preceded her in death Aug. 9, 1977.

Lucille was a charter member of First Assembly of God in Scott City.

She is survived by a son, the Rev. Charles (Olga) Lance of Perryville, Mo.; a daughter, Barbara (Jesse "Jet") Rhymer of Scott City; 12 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and 24 great-great-grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by two children, John David Lance and Mary Lou Hitchcock; six brothers; seven sisters; and three great-great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 4 p.m. until the time of service Thursday at First Assembly of God Church in Scott City.

Funeral services will be at 6 p.m. Thursday at the church, with the Rev. Charles Lance officiating.

A graveside service will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Lightner Cemetery in Scott City.

The family requests memorials be made to First Assembly of God Church of Scott City.

Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel of Scott City is in charge of arrangements.
