Lucille M. Klipfel, 85, of Cape Girardeau died Saturday, April 22, 2017, at her home. She was born May 16, 1931, in Cape Girardeau to Bernard William and Clara Christine Brockmeyer Jansen. She and Joseph L. Klipfel were married July 7, 1951, at St. Augustine Church in Kelso, Missouri. He preceded her in death June 11, 1997...

Lucille M. Klipfel, 85, of Cape Girardeau died Saturday, April 22, 2017, at her home.

She was born May 16, 1931, in Cape Girardeau to Bernard William and Clara Christine Brockmeyer Jansen.

She and Joseph L. Klipfel were married July 7, 1951, at St. Augustine Church in Kelso, Missouri. He preceded her in death June 11, 1997.

Lucille was a member of St. Vincent De Paul Catholic Church and was active in Marriage Encounter, Cursillo and UTC. She was also a volunteer at Saint Francis Medical Center.

She loved to garden, crochet and watch Cardinal games.

Survivors include three sons and their children, Marvin (Cynthia) Klipfel of Cape Girardeau and Cheri, Jason and Terica, Mike (Therese) Klipfel of Cape Girardeau and Chris, Dustin and Jessica, and Herman (Priscilla) Klipfel of Cape Girardeau and Travis, Trisha, Tyler and Trenton; three daughters and their children, Margie Auer of Jackson and Christine and Jimmy, Debbie (Dennis) Drerup of Jackson and Samantha and Trevor, and Deanna (Rob) Allsman of St. Charles, Missouri, and Kayla and Garrett; two sisters, Irene (Joe) Klueppel of Benton, Missouri, and Corena (Leroy) Berkbigler of Jackson; and 22 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and six brothers, Herman, Paul, Martin, George, Leon and Raymond Jansen.

Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home in Cape Girardeau. Parish prayers will be at 7 p.m. Tuesday.

Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Vincent De Paul Catholic Church in Cape Girardeau, with the Rev. David Hulshof officiating. Entombment will be at Cape County Memorial Park Mausoleum in Cape Girardeau.

Memorial contributions may be given to American Cancer Society or Crohn's and Colitis Foundation.
