NEW HAMBURG -- Lucille J. Heuring, 72, of New Hamburg died Tuesday, Jan. 22, 1991 at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
She was born Dec. 29, 1918 in New Hamburg, daughter of Stephen and Coena LeGrand Westrich.
She was a member of St. Lawrence Catholic Church in New Hamburg, a member and past president of St. Ann's Sodality, a member of the New Hamburg Homemakers Club, and a member and past president of North Scott County Association of Retarded Citizens.
She was a leader of the 4-H club in New Hamburg and was active in the Diocesan Council of Catholic Women.
On Oct. 26, 1946, she married Charles Heuring. He survives.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by five sons, Norman J., Lawrence (Larry) and Dennis J. Heuring, all of New Hamburg, Gerald L. Heuring, Portageville, Charles M. Heuring, Omaha, Neb.; one daughter, Dorothy M. Deason, New Hamburg; three brothers, Michael Westrich, Grover, Mo., Herman Westrich, Arnold, Edward Westrich, New Hamburg; and 13 grandchildren.
One sister preceded her in death.
Friends may call after 4 p.m. today at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Chaffee.
A rosary service will be held Thursday at 7 p.m. followed by an Oran Knights of Columbus Council 4311 prayer service at 7:30 p.m.
Funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Lawrence Catholic Church in New Hamburg with the Rev. Normand Varone officiating.
Burial will follow at St. Lawrence Catholic Cemetery in New Hamburg.
