BELL CITY -- Lucille Gardner, 85, of Bell City died Tuesday, March 3, 1998, at Dexter Memorial Hospital in Dexter.
She was born May 6, 1912, in Bell City, daughter of Harper and Lillie Clark Gilles. She and Louis A. Gardner were married April 19, 1929, in Bowling Green, Ohio.
Gardner retired from Inland Shoe Co. in Advance. She was a member of Bell City Church of Christ.
Survivors include her husband; a son, Ward Gardner of Apache Junction, Ariz.; a daughter, Mary Bartlett of Poplar Bluff; a sister, Juanita Perry of Bell City; four grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by three brothers and two sisters.
Friends may call at Morgan Funeral Home in Advance from 6-8 p.m. Thursday.
Funeral will be at 1:30 p.m. Friday at the funeral home, with Ray Crawford and Michael Moore officiating. Burial will be in Williams Cemetery at Perkins.
