COLLINSVILLE, Ill. -- Lucille V. Esicar, 87, formerly of Collinsville, Ill., and Cape Girardeau, died Saturday, Oct. 20, 2001, at Beth-Haven Nursing Home in Hannibal.
Born March 24, 1914 in Strudivant, Mo., she was the daughter of Clarence and Maude Rigger.
She was married to William J. Esicar Sr. in St. Louis. He died June 19, 1983.
Before moving to Hannibal, Esicar had lived in Collinsville, Ill. Until about 1950, she and her family lived in Cape Girardeau where Esicar was a beauty operator and an instructor at Cape Beauty College.
Survivors include a son, Dr. William J. Esicar of Hannibal; a daughter, Sharon Ruth Dunahee of Alton, Ill.; and five grandchildren.
Friends may call from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at Herbert A. Kassly Funeral Home in Collinsville. A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Lakeview Memorial Gardens in Fairvew Heights, Ill.
