EGYPT MILLS -- Lucille Elizabeth Bryant, 77, of Egypt Mills, died Wednesday, Aug. 9, 1995, at the Lutheran Home in Cape Girardeau.

She was born April 17, 1918, in Egypt Mills, daughter of Otto W. and Elsie Heise Kirchhoff. She and Horace Bryant were married Oct. 4, 1941, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Egypt Mills. He died in 1970.

Bryant was a 1934 graduate of College High School, and a graduate of Cape Business College. She had worked at Carp's and Montgomery Ward, and later she and her husband owned and operated doughnut shops in Charleston and Tyler, Texas. She also had worked at Och's Gift Shop.

The Bryants returned to this area in 1967. She was a member of Trinity Church and its Altar Guild, had served on the advisory board of Area Agency on Aging, and was a volunteer at Cape Girardeau Senior Center and American Red Cross blood drives.

Survivors include a daughter, Carolyn Holmberg of Boulder, Colo.; a son, Gary Bryant of Egypt Mills, and three grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a brother.

Friends may call at Lorberg Memorial Funeral Chapel from 4:30-8 p.m. today.

Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Friday at the chapel, with the Rev. Jeffrey Sippy officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park.
