Mary Lucille Ackman, 86, of Cape Girardeau died Saturday, Jan. 28, 2017, at her home.

She was born April 1, 1930, in Dutchtown, to Henry B. and Pauline Halter Horrell.

Lucille and Thomas E. Ackman were married July 8, 1950, at St. Mary's Cathedral in Cape Girardeau. He died Sept. 12, 2014.

She is survived by a son, Kenneth Ackman of Cape Girardeau; two daughters, Marilyn Probst of Cape Girardeau and Janet (Dennis) Savage of Artesia, New Mexico; a daughter-in-law, Janet Ackman of Jackson; two brothers, Paul Horrell of Kelso, Missouri, and Theon Horrell of Leopold, Missouri; four sisters, Alma Eftink of Oran, Missouri, Loretta Kolozy of Newport News, Virginia, Alice Gosche of Chaffee, Missouri, and Martha Sheppard of Scott City; four grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; a son, David Ackman; a brother, Charles Horrell; a sister, Teresa Eftink; and one grandchild.

Friends may call from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Wednesday at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home in Cape Girardeau.

Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at St. Mary's Cathedral in Cape Girardeau, with the Rev. Glenn Eftink officiating.

Burial will be at New Bethel Cemetery near Pocahontas.
