Retired Lt. Col. Jack Peyton Grisham, 84, of Easley, S.C., died Friday, Dec. 19, 2008, at his home. He was born in Anna, Ill., son of Milas and Mary Ruth Settlemoir Grisham. He married Frances Hamilton. Grisham retired from the U.S. Army after 28 years of service and served in World War II, Korea and Vietnam. He later taught high school 15 years in Cape Girardeau. Retired Lt. Col. Jack Peyton Grisham, 84, of Easley, S.C., died Friday, Dec. 19, 2008, at his home.

He was born in Anna, Ill., son of Milas and Mary Ruth Settlemoir Grisham. He married Frances Hamilton.

Grisham retired from the U.S. Army after 28 years of service and served in World War II, Korea and Vietnam. He later taught high school 15 years in Cape Girardeau. He was a member of St. Michael's Episcopal Church.

Survivors include his wife; a son, Mark Grisham of Easley; two grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a daughter and two brothers.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.

Robinson Funeral Home in Easley is in charge of arrangements.
