PERRYVILLE -- Loy A. Conrad, 87, of Perryville died Saturday June 7, 1997, at Perry County Memorial Hospital in Perryville.
He was born Aug. 15, 1909, in Perry County, the son of Gilbert and Flossie Murray Conrad. He married Ora Shrum, and she died in 1980. He married Alma Lorberg, and she died in 1987.
He taught in Patton for 21 years and in Perry County for 20 years. He was a retired farmer.
He belonged to the Crossroads United Methodist Church, the Retired Teachers Association and Missouri Cattlemen's Association.
Survivors include two sons, Richard Conrad of Jackson, Tenn., and Roger "Lynn" Conrad of Perryville; a brother, Ralph Conrad of Utah; two sisters, Marie Shrum of Marble Hill and Alma Statler of Perryville; six grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
In addition to his wives, he was preceded in death by two brothers, a sister and a grandchild.
Friends may call from 5 to 9 p.m. today and from 6:30 a.m. until the funeral service Tuesday at Young & Sons Funeral Home in Perryville.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home with the Rev. Michael Davis officiating. Interment will be in Crossroads United Methodist Cemetery in Perry County.
