Lovina O. "Bonnie" Brown, 95, of St. Louis, formerly of Bloomfield, Mo., passed away Wednesday, Nov. 20, 2013, at National Healthcare Center in St. Charles, Mo. She was born Sept. 28, 1918, in Bloomfield, daughter of Leroy and Ethel Wright Hyslop. She and Fred W. Brown were married May 22, 1937. He passed away Feb. 18, 1972...

Lovina O. "Bonnie" Brown, 95, of St. Louis, formerly of Bloomfield, Mo., passed away Wednesday, Nov. 20, 2013, at National Healthcare Center in St. Charles, Mo.

She was born Sept. 28, 1918, in Bloomfield, daughter of Leroy and Ethel Wright Hyslop. She and Fred W. Brown were married May 22, 1937. He passed away Feb. 18, 1972.

Bonnie worked 26 years in the meat department at Kroger's in St. Louis, retiring in 1982.

Loving survivors include a daughter, Judy Ann Hynek of O'Fallon, Mo.; three grandchildren, Tammy Lyn Karraker of Wentzville, Mo., Steven J. Hynek of St. Peters, Mo., and Brian W. Hynek of Columbia, Mo.; four great-grandchildren, Ashley and Danielle Karraker, Stephanie Hynek and Gideon Hynek; a sister, Florence Bright of Cape Girardeau; and a brother, Charles Richard "Dick" Hyslop of Birch Tree, Mo.

She was preceded in death by five brothers, Robert, Jim, Arthur, Paul and Billy Hyslop; and six sisters, Edna Harper, Wanda Parks, Vivian Nichols, Mary Curd, Ruth Hyslop and Betty Summers.

Friends may call from 10 a.m. until service time Saturday at McCombs Funeral Home in Cape Girardeau.

The funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home, with the Rev. David Hulshof officiating. Interment will follow in Cape County Memorial Park Cemetery in Cape Girardeau.

Memorials may take the form of contributions to New Life Evangelist, 1411 Locust St., St. Louis, MO 63103.
