ADVANCE, Mo. -- Lovevota Teresa Bess, 97, of Advance passed away at Auburn Creek Assisted Living in Cape Girardeau. She was born Jan. 15, 1924, in Zalma, Missouri, the daughter of Luther and Amanda Eaker Kinnison. Lovevota had been a homemaker and helped her husband farm. ADVANCE, Mo. -- Lovevota Teresa Bess, 97, of Advance passed away Tuesday, Feb. 2, 2021, at Auburn Creek Assisted Living in Cape Girardeau. She was born Jan. 15, 1924, in Zalma, Missouri, the daughter of Luther and Amanda Eaker Kinnison.

Lovevota had been a homemaker and helped her husband farm. During World War II, she worked in the Small Arms Factory in St. Louis.

She believed in the Baptist faith.

Lovevota and James E. Bess were married on Jan. 12, 1947, and he preceded her in death Feb. 2, 1999.

She is survived by her son, James Lynn Bess of Advance; many nieces, nephews and a sister-in-law.

She was preceded in death by her husband, five brothers and three sisters.

A private graveside service will held at Baker Cemetery in Marble Hill, Missouri.

Morgan Funeral Home in Advance was in charge arrangements.

A special thank you from her son to all the nurses and staff at Auburn Creek Assisted Living, Crown Hospice and to all the caregivers for taking good care of his mom.
