MARBLE HILL, Mo. — Loveta M. Long, 85, of Marble Hill died Sunday, Jan. 18, 2009, at Elder Care of Marble Hill. She was born July 30, 1923, in DeLassus, Mo., daughter of William and Ellen Thompson Wiley. She and Paul Kinder were married May 6, 1946. He died May 17, 1963. She and Curtis Long were married Jan. 27, 1981. He died March 22, 2006...

MARBLE HILL, Mo. — Loveta M. Long, 85, of Marble Hill died Sunday, Jan. 18, 2009, at Elder Care of Marble Hill.

She was born July 30, 1923, in DeLassus, Mo., daughter of William and Ellen Thompson Wiley. She and Paul Kinder were married May 6, 1946. He died May 17, 1963. She and Curtis Long were married Jan. 27, 1981. He died March 22, 2006.

Long had worked for the city of Lutesville, Mo., as a secretary and collector. She was a member of VFW Auxiliary, Eagles Lodge, Rebekah Lodge and Hahn Chapel General Baptist Church near Marble Hill.

Survivors include two daughters, Paula Seabaugh of Marble Hill, Brenda Halbert of Dexter, Mo.; a sister, Marie Pyle of Marble Hill; four grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by four brothers and a sister.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Liley Funeral Home in Marble Hill.

The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Gerald Huff officiating. Burial will be in Bollinger County Memorial Park Cemetery near Marble Hill.
