LOUISE SUTTON

MARBLE HILL -- Louise Bernice Sutton, 86, of Playa Del Rey, Calif., died Tuesday, Dec. 24, 1996, at her home.

She was born Sept. 24, 1910, at Marble Hill, daughter of Dr. John J. and Katie Chandler. She married Dr. Charles Sutton, who died in 1974.

Sutton attended Linderwood School for girls and Southeast Missouri State University. She had lived in California since 1957. She was a member of Westchester United Methodist Church, and had been a volunteer with Hospice and Century City Hospital.

Survivors include a son, Charles Sutton; a daughter, Salle Mendelsohn; four grandchildren; and a great-grandson.

She was preceded in death by two brothers and a sister.

A memorial service was held Dec. 29 at Westchester Church in California. Burial was later at Lightner Cemetery in Scott City.

Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel at Scott City was in charge of local arrangements.
