MARBLE HILL, Mo. -- Louise Godwin, 83, of Marble Hill died Wednesday, Dec. 1, 2004, at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
She was born July 3, 1921, at Neelyville, Mo., daughter of Clarence Walter and Lola Mae Lumpkins Elliott. She and Ray Godwin were married Jan. 14, 1939.
Godwin was a member of Point Pleasant General Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband; three sons, Bobby, Jimmy and Michael Godwin, all of Marble Hill; three daughters, Connie Hahn of Festus, Mo., Patsy Massey and LaDonna Mayfield of Marble Hill; three sisters, Shirley Reynolds of Marble Hill, Edith Tettaton of Arnold, Mo., Bette Duran of Norfolk, Va.; 19 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; and eight great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son, a brother, three sisters, a grandson, two great-grandsons and a great-great-grandson.
Friends may call at Liley Funeral Home in Marble Hill from 4 to 8 p.m. today.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home, with the Revs. Lloyd Green and Bud Armstrong officiating. Burial will be in Bollinger County Memorial Park Cemetery.
