SCOTT CITY -- Louis William Statler, 79, of Scott City, died Tuesday, Jan. 17, 1995, at Chateau Girardeau Health Center in Cape Girardeau.
He was born April 2, 1915, at Fornfelt, son of Joseph Hilliard and Amelia Westerwelle Statler. He and Ruby Marie Crader were married Dec. 24, 1936.
Statler was a retired dairy farmer and carpenter. He was a member of Eisleben Lutheran Church in Scott City, and Jackson Senior Citizens.
Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Glenda Smith of Scott City; a sister, Ella Koehler of Fort Madison, Iowa, and a granddaughter.
He was preceded in death by a sister.
Friends may call at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Scott City after 2:30 p.m. today. A prayer service will be held at the funeral home at 11 a.m. Friday.
Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Eisleben Church, with the Rev. Joel Sarrault officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park at Cape Girardeau.
