SIKESTON -- Louis Thomas, 77, of Sikeston died Thursday, April 15, 1999, at the Clearview Nursing Center in Sikeston.
He was born Oct. 17, 1921, in Walls, Miss., son of David and Tempie Thomas. He retired from Capitol Hardware in Chicago and moved to Sikeston in 1979. He was a member of the St. John Baptist Church where he served on the Board of Deacons.
He is survived by four daughters, Charlotte Rodriguez of Evanston, Ill., Pamela Ingram, Cherry Thomas and Angela Thomas, all of Chicago; five sons, Samuel Thomas of Elkhart, Ind., Larry Thomas of Waukegan, Ill., Ricky Thomas of Jacksonville, Fla., Reginald Thomas of Atlanta, Ga., and Damani Thomas of Chicago; 22 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from noon until the funeral at 1 o'clock Saturday at St. John Baptist Church. The Rev. Flem E. Bronner Sr. will officiate.
Burial will be at Memorial Park Cemetery at Sikeston.
