Louis Albert Griffith, 91, of 1567 Grandview, died Friday, Dec. 27, 1996, at his home.
He was born Dec. 12, 1905, in St. Louis, son of Robert and Mary Zugmaier Griffith. His first marriage was to Flora Lohman on Oct. 1, 1927, in Chester, Ill. She died June 24, 1975. He married Mary McRaven in Cape Girardeau on Aug. 7, 1976.
He worked at the international Shoe Machinery Co. for 25 years, retiring in 1968. He later worked for several years with his son Paul at Griffith's Orthotics Inc.
He is survived by his wife, of Cape Girardeau; a son, Roy Griffith of Cape Girardeau; a daughter, Ann DesMarias of Manchester, N.H.; 13 grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a son, brother, and sister.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. on Sunday at the Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Chapel, with a parish prayer at 7.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Mary's Cathedral, with the Rev. Randolph Tochtrop officiating. Burial will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery.
