Louie Mae Wilkinson, 93, of Cape Girardeau, formerly of Patton, died Friday, Jan. 22, 1993, at the Fountainbleau Lodge in Cape Girardeau.
She was born June 9, 1899, at Marquand, Mo., daughter of Henry Jefferson and Emma Ella Hawn Slinkard.
On March 26, 1922, she married Leslie Wilkinson. He preceded her in death in June of 1983.
She attended Mayfield College and taught schools in several schools in Bollinger and Perry counties.
She was a member of the Calvary Temple Church of Fredericktown.
Survivors include two sons, John Wilkinson, Marble Hill and Frank Wilkinson of Cape Girardeau; four daughters, Dessie Dennis of Slater, Mo., Janice Douglas of DeSoto, Mo., Ellanore White of House Springs, Mo. and Lula Angle of Marble Hill; 27 grandchildren and 43 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son, two daughters, four brothers, 3 sisters, and four great grandchildren.
Service will be held today at 2 p.m. at the Liley Funeral Chapel at Patton, with the Rev. Carl Cureton officiating. Burial will be in Patton Cemetery.
