LOU HUTSON

BENTON -- Lou Hutson, 63, of Benton died Sunday, June 28, 1998, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

She was born Sept. 3, 1934, in Bollinger County, daughter of Earl and Esther Brashears Benfield. She and Edward Dwight Hutson were married Dec. 7, 1952, in Mississippi County.

Hutson was a teachers aide at Kelly Elementary School 21 years. She was a member of Unity Baptist Church.

Survivors include her husband; two sons, Steve Hutson of Marble Hill, John Hutson of Chaffee; two daughters, Debbie Naile of Benton, Terra Slayden of Diehlstadt; a brother, Jerry Benfield of Marquette, Ill.; four sisters, Dixie Ross of Kennett, Nina Marler of Brady, Texas, Kathryn Markham of Advance, Jean Vetter of Benton; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a daughter, two brothers, and a sister.

Friends may call at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Benton after 4 p.m. today, and at Unity Church after noon Wednesday.

Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the church, with the Rev. Dale Huff officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
