Catherine Lorraine Eaton, 83, of Cape Girardeau passed away Wednesday, Dec. 26, 2018, at Southeast Hospital. Lorraine was born Aug. 7, 1935, in Cape Girardeau, the ninth child of Frank Charles and Zetta Bertrand. She and Frank Eaton were married Feb. 1, 1953, in Piggott, Arkansas. Catherine Lorraine Eaton, 83, of Cape Girardeau passed away Wednesday, Dec. 26, 2018, at Southeast Hospital.

Lorraine was born Aug. 7, 1935, in Cape Girardeau, the ninth child of Frank Charles and Zetta Bertrand. She and Frank Eaton were married Feb. 1, 1953, in Piggott, Arkansas. He preceded her in death Nov. 29, 2003.

She will be remembered for her generosity, her love of family and her gift for growing beautiful flowers.

Lorraine was a member of St. Mary's Cathedral, former member of the Daughters of Isabel, St. Mary's Council of Catholic Women, former member of Friendship Homemakers Club and Promenaires Square Dance Club.

Lorraine is survived by her special friend, Bill Bourelle; daughters, Marilyn Mick and Kristi (George) Honeywell; grandchildren, Brian Warren, Sarah (Curtis) Moore and Cody and Katy Honeywell; great-grandchildren, Mason, Corbin, Jackson and Pandora Warren and Jayden, Shaylee and Delaney Moore; brother, John (Marge) Bertrand; brother-in-law, Fred Schmidt; sisters-in-law, Dorothy Bertrand, Martha Bertrand and Caroline Bertrand; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 50 years, Frank Eaton; daughter, Sandra Jill; parents, Frank and Zetta Bertrand; brothers Bill, Bob, Harry, Frank Charles and Ronald Bertrand; and sisters, Georgia Mae Haman, Charlotte Dunn and Shirley Schmidt.

Visitation will be from 9 to 11 a.m. Monday at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home.

Funeral will follow at 11 a.m. Monday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Victor Anokwute officiating. Burial will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery in Cape Girardeau.

In memory of her late husband, Frank, memorials may be given to Southeast Hospice.
