PERRYVILLE, Mo. -- Lorine V. Buchheit, 101, of Perryville died Tuesday, Dec. 28, 2010, at Perry Oaks Manor.
She was born Aug. 24, 1909, in Cape Girardeau, daughter of August and Theresa Leible Schnurbusch. She and August N. Buchheit were married May 19, 1931, at Apple Creek, Mo. He preceded her in death March 16, 1972.
Buchheit was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church and its Ladies Sodality.
Survivors include five sons, Carl (Rose) Buchheit and Sylvester (Donna) Buchheit of Perryville, Daniel (Donna) Buchheit of Osage Beach, Mo., Ralph (Janice) Buchheit of Oklahoma City, Okla., Lynn (Donita) Buchheit of Eagle River, Alaska; five daughters, Doretta (Wayne) Balsman of Island Lake, Ill., Evelyn (Richard) Otte of Oakville, Mo., Myrtle (James) Gettinger of Ste. Genevieve, Mo., Velda (Vic) Burdin of Herculaneum, Mo., Ruth Buchheit of Denver, and friend Tony Berge of Steamboat Springs, Colo.; a daughter-in-law, Joan Buchheit of St. Charles, Mo.; three sisters, Verna Buchheit of O'Fallon, Mo., Margaret Renaud and Ester Ochs of St. Louis; 26 grandchildren; three stepgrandchildren; 56 great-grandchildren; 10 great-stepgrandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; two sons, Lloyd and George Buchheit; three brothers, Leon, Everett and Walter Schnurbusch; two sisters, Gertrude Nanney and Flora Schnurbusch, SSJM.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today and 6:30 to 9:50 a.m. Friday at Miller Family Funeral Home. Parish prayers will be at 7:30 tonight. The rosary will be recited at 9 a.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Vincent de Paul Church, with the Rev. Milton Ryan officiating. Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery.
Memorials preferred to St. Vincent Education Foundation, St. Vincent High Centennial Endowment Fund or charity of choice.
