SIKESTON -- Lorin Vaughn Sr., 84, of West Plains, died Tuesday, Dec. 31, 1991, at West Vue Home in West Plains.
He was born Sept. 23, 1907, at Sikeston, son of Spence and Dora Ellen Rudloff Vaughn. He and Bertha May Harlan were married Sept. 23, 1933, at Sikeston.
Vaughn farmed until 1965, then owned a small grocery store, and later owned and operated Rose Lawn Apartments. He was a member of First Baptist Church at West Plains.
Survivors include his wife; two sons, Lorin Vaughn of West Plains, Larry Vaughn of Festus; a daughter, Laquitta Herren of Jefferson City; three sisters, Rheda Suchman of Sikeston, Mary Ferrero of Prairie Village, Kan., Nedra Foster of Tulsa, Okla.; three brothers, Cairl Vaughn of Poplar Bluff, Earl Vaughn of Hot Springs, Ark., Edward Vaughn of Sikeston, and five grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a sister and brother.
Funeral service will be at 3:30 p.m. today at Robertson-Drago Funeral Home in West Plains. Burial will be in Howell Memorial Park Cemetery.
