GRAND CHAIN, Ill. -- Funeral for Lorene G. Goines of Grand Chain will be held at 1 p.m. today at Wilson Funeral Home in Karnak. The Rev. David Keyes will officiate, with burial in Ohio Chapel Cemetery, near Grand Chain.
Goines, 77, died Tuesday, Dec. 15, 1998, at Lourdes Hospital in Paducah, Ky.
She was born Jan. 25, 1921, in Pulaski County, daughter of Orland and Effie Eddleman Hayes. She married Warren Goines, who died in 1972.
Goines was a member of Hillerman Missionary Baptist Church.
Survivors include five daughters, Louise Holder and Doris Cohoon of Metropolis, Patsy Paschal of Brookport, Geneva Corzine of Cypress, Brenda Goines of Grand Chain; three sons, Kenneth and Delbert Goines of Grand Chain, and Richard Goines of Karnak.
Also surviving are three sisters, Gladys McKinney of Zion, Ruth Duenne of Charleston, Mo., Opal Conley of Ozark; 14 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, two sisters, and three brothers.
