JACKSON -- Lola E. Gerecke, 73, of Jackson died Monday, Jan. 18, 1999, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

She was born June 13, 1925, at Zalma, daughter of John and Myrtle Borders Richards. She and Ray Gerecke were married June 3, 1944, in Collinsville, Ill.

Gerecke was a member of Hanover Lutheran Church in Cape Girardeau.

Survivors include her husband; a son, Allen Gerecke of Jackson; four brothers, Hosie and Johnny Richards of Advance, Clarence Richards of Olney, Ill., Leeman Richards of St. Louis; four sisters, Effie Grisham and Bernice Wilson of St. Louis, Betty Swartz of Kankakee, Ill., and Melva Phillips of Greenfield, Ind.

She was preceded in death by a daughter, two brothers, and a sister.

Friends may call at Morgan Funeral Home in Advance from 5-8 p.m. today.

Funeral will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Jeff Sippy officiating. Burial will be in Balch Cemetery near Zalma.
