SIKESTON, Mo. -- Lois E. Reeves, 87, of Sikeston died Wednesday, Sept. 27, 2006, at Missouri Delta Medical Center. She was born Oct. 28, 1918, in the Dogwood community of Mississippi County, daughter of James E. and Myrtle Bell Hurley Evans. A resident of the Charleston area most of her life, she moved to Sikeston a number of years ago. She was a retired licensed practical nurse. SIKESTON, Mo. -- Lois E. Reeves, 87, of Sikeston died Wednesday, Sept. 27, 2006, at Missouri Delta Medical Center.

She was born Oct. 28, 1918, in the Dogwood community of Mississippi County, daughter of James E. and Myrtle Bell Hurley Evans.

A resident of the Charleston area most of her life, she moved to Sikeston a number of years ago. She was a retired licensed practical nurse. She had attended Elm Street Baptist Church in Charleston.

Survivors include two sons, Donald Faught of Sikeston, William Walters of Dutchtown; a brother, Shelby Evans of Hartford, Ill.; a sister, Peggy Rockett of Sikeston; eight grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by three brothers and two sisters.

Friends may call from noon to service time Friday at McMikle Funeral Home in Charleston.

The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Friday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Dale Huff officiating. Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery near Charleston.
