ANNA, Ill. -- Lois Fern Holden, 79, of Louisville, Ky., formerly of Anna, died Tuesday, June 6, 2006, at Norton Hospital in Louisville.
She was born Jan. 5, 1927, in Perks, Ill., daughter of Waldo and Wilma Langston Herren. She married Joseph Holden, who died June 9, 1981.
Holden was a member of the Gospel Assembly Church in Anna and Louisville.

Survivors include two sons, William Schildknecht of Anna and Allen Holden of West Frankfort, Ill.; a brother, John Herren of Louisville; two sisters, Leta Jones and Jeanne Herren of Louisville; five grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and two sisters.
Friends may call at Lutz and Rendleman Funeral Home in Anna from 6 to 8 p.m. today, and Friday from 10 a.m. until time of service at Gospel Assembly Church in Anna.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the church, with the Revs. Gaylen Holden, Jack Ross and Dennis Fitzsimmons officiating. Burial will be in Meisenheimer-Mount Olive Cemetery near Dongola, Ill.
