Lois E. Fritzler, 47, 1617 Bel Air, died Thursday, Nov. 28, 1996, at St. Louis University Hospital.
She was born Sept. 19, 1949, in Cheyenne, Wyo., daughter of Christian E. and Emma E. Ehmke Backer. She and Steven K. Fritzler were married July 10, 1971, in Cheyenne.
A graduate of Cheyenne East High School, and Concordia College in Portland, Ore., she received a bachelor of science degree in education from Concordia Teachers College in Seward, Neb., in 1971.
Fritzler was a kindergarten teacher at St. Paul Lutheran School in Concordia eight years.
She was a member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Chapel, active in the Ladies Guild and Handbell Choir, was a Sunday School teacher, Vacation Bible School teacher and staff worker, and had been secretary and treasurer of AAL Branch 7557 since 1989.
Survivors include her husband; a son, Jonathan Fritzler of the home; her mother of Cape Girardeau; a brother, Leroy Backer of Millington, Tenn.; and a sister, Letha Chambers of Dublin, Ohio.
She was preceded in death by a son and daughter.
Friends may call at Ford and Sons Mt. Auburn Chapel from 4-8 p.m. today.
Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Good Shepherd, with the Rev. Barry Pfanstiel officiating.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Concordia. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
