Lois Christy

CHAFFEE, Mo. -- Lois Loula Christy, 80, of Chaffee died Thursday, April 15, 2004, at her home.

She was born Nov. 30, 1923, at Zalma, Mo., daughter of Lee and Lula Fish Slinkard. She and Carl E. Christy were married Jan. 26, 1942.

Christy was a member of First Baptist Church.

Survivors include her husband; a son, Glenn Christy of Baton Rouge, La.; two daughters, Betty Bagbey of Lakeland, Fla., Karen Sadler of Atlanta, Ga.; a brother, Cletus Slinkard of Belleville, Ill.; six grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by five brothers and five sisters.

Friends may call after 3 p.m. Sunday at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Chaffee.

The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the chapel, with the Rev. Cliff Day officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery at Sikeston, Mo.
