DARDENNE PRAIRIE, Mo. -- Loeta Lavern Eaker, 83, of Dardenne Prairie passed away Saturday, Nov. 8, 2014, at her home.
She was born Sept. 27, 1931, at Gravel Hill, Missouri, daughter of Otto and Lillie Bollinger Huffman. She and Welbert Vandrew "Bill" Eaker were married Feb. 21, 1948. He preceded her in death Nov. 21, 1964.
Loeta was an admissions clerk at Forest Park Community College. She loved gardening and sewing.
Survivors include two daughters, Wanda Ross of Allenville and Loretta Meyer of St. Louis County; a sister, Vivian O'Connor of High Ridge, Missouri; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; a daughter, Wilma Lee Damlow; a brother, Bobby Thiele; and a sister, Bonnie Huffman.
Visitation will be from 10:30 a.m. until time of service Saturday at Liley Funeral Home in Marble Hill, Missouri.
The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Phillip Jordan officiating. Burial will be in Bollinger County Memorial Park Cemetery near Marble Hill.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
