Lloyd Michelsen

ORAN, Mo. � Lloyd Elton Michelsen, 81, of Oran died Saturday, July 14, 2018, at his home, surrounded by his loving family.

He was born Aug. 24, 1936, in Hagarville, Arkansas, to Charley Elton and Faye Etta Bacchus Michelsen. He married Nancy Pauline Montgomery on Dec. 7, 1958, and she survives of the home.

Lloyd was a retired meat cutter for several area stores. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Oran.

He is survived by his loving wife, Nancy Michelsen; a son, Eric E. (Valerie) Michelsen of Jackson; two daughters, Lisa (Rick) Walter of Oran and Kimberly Michelsen of Springfield, Missouri; a brother, Donald (Shirlee) Michelsen of Oran; three sisters, Bonnie Dover of Cape Girardeau, Betty Thele of Arnold, Missouri, and Sharon (Mike) London of Illinois; five grandchildren, Natalie (Roy) Buell, Trent (Amber) Walter, Seth (Alisha) Walter, Erica (Matt) Renes and Nathan (Leah) Michelsen; and 10 great-grandchildren, Charley, Piper, Leelynn, Oliver, Jackson, Hudson, Eleanor, Genevieve, Evelyn and Elijah.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters.

Friends may call from 10 a.m. Tuesday until time of service at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Oran.

Funeral service will be at noon Tuesday at the chapel, with the Rev. Donny Ford officiating. Burial will be at New Morley Cemetery in Morley, Missouri.
