He was born June 18, 1921, in Jackson, Mo., son of Leo and Cloe E. Turner Loos. He and Louise M. Street were married Oct. 6, 1947, in Osceola, Ark.

Loos retired from Missouri National Guard in 1981 as a chief warrant officer W-3. He was a truck driver with ABF Trucking, retiring in 1988.

He was a member of Teamsters Local 574, Retirement Club of Missouri National Guard, St. Mark's Masonic Lodge 93 AF&AM, Cape Shrine Club, Clown Club of the Shriners, Kim Shrine Club of Cairo, Ill., Sword of Bunker Hill, Capaha Scottish Rite and Moolah Temple in St. Louis.

Loos served in the U.S. Navy during World War II.

He was a member of Civil Conservation Corps during the 1930s and was a former member and president of Breakfast Exchange Club.

Survivors include his wife; three sons, Allen Hill of Jackson, Wayne Gross of Jefferson City, Mo., John Loos of Cape Girardeau; seven grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

Friends may call at Ford and Sons Mt. Auburn Chapel from 4-8 p.m. today. St. Mark's Masonic Lodge will have a service at 7.

Graveside service will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Cape County Memorial Park Mausoleum, with military rites conducted by VFW Post 3838 and Missouri National Guard.
