BENTON -- Lloyd C. "Bud" Crook, 73, of Benton, died Monday, Aug. 24, 1992, at Benton. He was born May 15, 1919, in Corning, Ark., son of Joseph and Georgia Briggs Crook. He and Lois E. Pinnon were married Nov. 3, 1980. Crook was employed by French Implement Co. at Charleston, retiring in 1981. He was a member of First Baptist Church here, and served in the U.S. Army during World War II...

BENTON -- Lloyd C. "Bud" Crook, 73, of Benton, died Monday, Aug. 24, 1992, at Benton.

He was born May 15, 1919, in Corning, Ark., son of Joseph and Georgia Briggs Crook. He and Lois E. Pinnon were married Nov. 3, 1980.

Crook was employed by French Implement Co. at Charleston, retiring in 1981. He was a member of First Baptist Church here, and served in the U.S. Army during World War II.

Survivors include his wife; a son, Gary Crook of Kevil, Ky.; a daughter, Gail Groves of East Prairie; two stepsons, Bill Jones of East Prairie, Don Jones of Benton; a stepdaughter, Jean McCourt of Benton; three brothers, Gene Crook of Louisiana, Tib Crook of California, Paul Crook of Houston, Texas; four sisters, Mildred Snider of Illinois, Shirley Brown and Breace Elmore of California, Mae Starnes of Florida; three grandchildren, and five stepgrandchildren.

Friends may call at Ford and Sons Funeral Home in Benton from 4-8 p.m. today.

Funeral service will be at 2:30 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home, with the Rev. David Richbourg officiating. Burial will be in Forest Hill Memorial Garden at Morley.
