Linda Lawrence

DEXTER, Mo. -- Linda Faye Lawrence, 76, of Dexter departed this life Thursday, Aug. 25, 2011, at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston, Mo.

She was born Nov. 14, 1934, in Hornersville, Mo., daughter of the late Hugh W. and Mildred Gowan Parks. She and Jimmie G. Lawrence were married March 27, 1955, at Grayridge, Mo.

Mrs. Lawrence was a member of First United Methodist Church in Dexter. She was an educator 39 years, with 31 of those years in the Richland School District.

Survivors include her husband; a son and daughter-in-law, Jeffery H. and Dianne Lawrence of Cape Girardeau; and two granddaughters, Kelsey Dianne Lawrence and Sarah Elliott Lawrence.

Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Saturday at Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter.

The funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Michael Woods officiating. Interment will be in Dexter Cemetery.
