MORLEY, Mo. -- Linda Ann King, 66, of Morley died Friday, Jan. 7, 2011, at Southeast Hospital in Cape Girardeau, following an extended illness.
She was born Sept. 6, 1944, in Cape Girardeau, to Harry Albert and Alice Pearl Dickinson Williams. She and Harold E. "Gene" King were married July 27, 1963, at Morley.
King was a 1962 graduate of Scott County Central High School. She was a caseworker 34 years in the Scott County Division of Family Services Office in Sikeston, Mo. She was a lifelong member of Morley Baptist Church, served 20 years as director of the Children's Department and served on the Women's Ministry of the church.
Survivors include her husband; two daughters, Teresa Morrow of Batesville, Ark., Sarah Boleach of Hannibal, Mo.; a brother, Pete Williams of Morley; a sister, Nola Curtis of Cabot, Ark.; and five grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and four brothers.
Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Morley Baptist Church.
The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Monday at the church, with the Rev. David Thompson officiating. Burial will be in Forest Hills Cemetery.
