PADUCAH, Ky. -- Linda Sue Dowdy Carr, 49, of Paducah, formerly of Mound City, died Monday, July 3, 2000, at Western Baptist Hospital in Paducah. She was born March 25, 1951, at Paducah, daughter of Paul and Louise Winters Dowdy. Survivors include two sons, Brad and Timmy Carr, both of Paducah; a brother, John Ed Dowdy of Gilbertsville, Ky.; three sisters, Phyllis Jean Buckles of Tamms, Ill., Anita Stout of Metropolis, Ill.; and Paula Justen of Warner Robbins, Ga.; a granddaughter; and special friend, Doyle Morris of Paducah.. ...

She was born March 25, 1951, at Paducah, daughter of Paul and Louise Winters Dowdy.

She was preceded in death by her parents and by a brother, Edward Keith Dowdy.

Friends may call from 9-11 a.m. Thursday at Crain Funeral Home in Tamms.

Graveside services will be at 11:30 a.m. Thursday at Spencer Heights Cemetery at Mounds, with the Rev. Tim Stonecipher officiating. Burial will follow the service.
