ANNA, Il. -- Linda Brown, 74, of McClure died Sunday, Aug. 29, 2021, at Integrity Healthcare in Anna.
She was born Sept. 13, 1946, in Ware, Illinois, daughter of George and Clara Kenney Livesay. She married Jack Phillips on Dec. 24, 1965, and he preceded her in death in 1971. She later married Mike Brown on Sept. 18, 1976, in Cape Girardeau.
Linda is survived by her husband, Mike Brown of McClure; children, Jackie (John) Newell of McClure, Richie (Kristie) Phillips of Paragould, Arkansas, Jodi (Brad) Berry of Jackson, Rodney (Casey) Brown of Fruitland and Marlya Kelley of Jackson; grandchildren, Hannah Newell, Amanda (Andy) Mitchler, Aaron Newell, Lara White, Layne and Lindy Phillips, Evan and Ella Berry, Callie and Alex Brown, Tavi and Makala Lopez, and Charleigh Simmons; siblings, Bob and Wayne Livesay, Kay Carver, Nancy Hobbs, and Pat Ferguson; other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; first husband, Jack Phillips; grandson, Caleb Brown; two brothers; and four sisters.
Linda was a member of the Reynoldsville Baptist Church. She co-owned Brown's Grocery Store in McClure. Linda enjoyed going to thrift stores and garage sales. She loved her grandchildren dearly.
Friends may call from 11:30 a.m. until the service hour at Lindsey Cemetery in McClure.
Graveside services will be held at noon on Thursday at Lindsey Cemetery with Aaron Boyd officiating. Interment will immediately follow.
Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association. Envelopes will be available at the cemetery.
