Wiseman, 79, died Monday, Feb. 3, 1997, at her home.

She was born Nov. 17, 1917, in Memphis, Tenn., daughter of Willie and Willie Nickles Jones. She and John Lee Wiseman were married Jan. 22, 1939, in Memphis. He preceded her in death.

Wiseman was a member of New Bethel Church.

Survivors include five sons, Vertis, James and Chester Wiseman of Holly Springs, Cassell Wiseman of Cape Girardeau, Willie Wiseman of Tampa, Fla.; four daughters, Roberta Brown and Ophelia Brown of Cape Girardeau, Bertha Knox of Memphis, Rosetta Craine of Champaign, Ill.; 31 grandchildren; and 54 great-grandchildren.
