LILLIE E. SMITH

JONESBORO, Ill. - Lillie E. Smith, 85, of Grand Tower, Ill., died Saturday, March 13, at the Life Care Center in Jonesboro.

She was born Nov. 15, 1907, at Jacob, Ill., to William and Alta Grace.

On Dec. 17, 1924, she married Mason L. Smith in Murphysboro. He preceded her in death in 1974.

Survivors include one son, Russell Smith of Salisbury, Tenn., two daughters, Lydia Wheaton of Jonesboro, and Linda Hale of Bedford, Tex. Also surviving are 21 grandchildren, 37 great grandchildren and nine great-great grandchildren.

Smith was a member of the First Baptist Church of Grand Tower.

Friends may call after 6 p.m., today, at the Norris and Son Funeral Home in Jonesboro. Funeral services will be held on Monday, at 1 p.m., at the Norris and Son Funeral Chapel in Jonesoboro, with the Rev. Gregory Wheaton officiating. Burial will be in Walker Hill Cemetery at Grand Tower.
