SEDGEWICKVILLE -- Lillie E. Skaggs, 87, of Sedgewickville, died Wednesday, Jan. 12, 2000, at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis. She was born April 3, 1912, at Patton, daughter of Charles and Docie Johnson Kuhlmann. She and C.W. "Chris" Skaggs were married April 29, 1929. He preceded her in death...

SEDGEWICKVILLE -- Lillie E. Skaggs, 87, of Sedgewickville, died Wednesday, Jan. 12, 2000, at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis.

She was born April 3, 1912, at Patton, daughter of Charles and Docie Johnson Kuhlmann. She and C.W. "Chris" Skaggs were married April 29, 1929. He preceded her in death.

She was a member of the Sedgewickville United Methodist Church and the United Methodist Women, a member and treasurer of the Willing Helpers FCE Club, and the Happy Old People.

Survivors include two daughters, Mona Mason of St. Charles and Kay L. Mayfield of Indianapolis; four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a sister.

Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. today at Liley Funeral Home in Patton.

Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the chapel, with the Rev. Louella Lyon officiating. Burial will be in Patton Cemetery.
