Lillian M. Hager Nenninger, 93, of Jackson died Wednesday, Feb. 28, 2007, at her home.
She was born April 29, 1913, in Gordonville, daughter of Phillip and Sophie Siemers Hager. She and Vernon "Babe" Nenninger were married Jan. 31, 1934, in Cape Girardeau. He died Feb. 28, 1970.
She was a member of St. Mary's Cathedral. She lived in the Cape Girardeau and Gordonville areas all her life. She was a member of Daughters of Isabella, St. Ann Sodality, former Girl Scout leader, and participated in Perpetual Adoration at Saint Francis Medical Center. She was a private caregiver and a prayerful woman.
She is survived by two sons, Dan Nenninger and wife Mary Ann of Gordonville, Wayne Nenninger and wife Carolyn of Saginaw, Texas; two daughters, Jean A. Goodson and husband David, and Deborah Beussink and husband Steve, all of Jackson; 14 grandchildren; and 23 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, six brothers and five sisters.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home. Parish prayers will be at 7, followed by the rosary by Knights of Columbus Council 1111.
Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Mary's Cathedral, with Monsignor Ed Eftink officiating and the Rev. Tom Kiefer co-officiating. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery in Cape Girardeau.
