Lillian Geordean (Jerry) Huckstep Kramer, 94, passed away early Saturday morning, March 5, 2005, at the Lutheran Home in Cape Girardeau.
Lillian was the daughter of Olive Cloe and Addison Huckstep. She was born on Aug. 20, 1910, near Burfordville. As a young girl, she and her family moved to Cape Girardeau, where she attended Central High School.
She married Ivan Oliver Kramer on Sept. 28, 1929, in Anna, Ill. After her marriage, Ivan's work took them to several areas of the country, but she spent most of her life in Cape Girardeau. Ivan preceded her in death on March 2, 1995.
Lillian was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and was very active in the programs of the church.
She served as president of the children's Primary Organization for seven years. She and her husband served two church missions at Washington, D.C., temple for a total of three years. They later served for one year at the Chicago temple.
Lillian spent most of her life as a homemaker, but at the age of 55 she went to work as a cook for the Jack and Jill Preschool.
She is survived by her son, Jack Oliver Kramer (Marge) of Cape Girardeau; one daughter, Karen Hales (Richard) of West Jordan, Utah; one grandson, Scott Kramer of Saugus, Calif.; three great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandson.
Friends may call at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday. The funeral will be held Tuesday at 10 a.m. at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints located at the corner of Cape Rock Drive and Singing Hills Drive.
Interment will be at the Cape County Memorial Park Cemetery following the services.
