FREDERICKTOWN -- Lewis Eck, 72, of Fredericktown, died Tuesday, April 9, 1996, at Stockhoff Memorial Nursing Home.
He was born May 27, 1923, son of John and Anna Skalak Eck. He and Florence "Betty" Means were married Feb. 16, 1946, at Fredericktown.
Eck was a carpenter and farmer, and member of St. Michael's Catholic Church.
Survivors include his wife; six sons, Robert Eck of Puxico, Michael "Jim" Eck of Patton, Christopher and Stephen Eck of Fredericktown, John Eck of Cape Girardeau, Peter Eck of Killeen, Texas; a daughter, Mary Martin of Fredericktown; two brothers, John Eck of Farmington, Charlie Eck of Ballston Lake, N.Y.; two sisters, Anna Kuzma of Granite City, Ill., Helen Slifka of Modesto, Calif.; 15 grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by four brothers.
Friends may call at Wilson Funeral Home in Fredericktown from 5-9 p.m. today.
Funeral mass will be at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Michael's Church, with Msgr. Joseph Gosche officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
