Letha Marie Elizabeth Moore, 86, of Jackson, formerly of Oak Ridge, passed away Sunday, July 22, 2012, at her daughter's home in Jackson. She was born Nov. 23, 1925, in Friedheim, daughter of Joseph J. and Emma Kester Kester. She and Milford T. Moore were married April 28, 1951, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Friedheim. He passed away Oct. 27, 1992...

Letha Marie Elizabeth Moore, 86, of Jackson, formerly of Oak Ridge, passed away Sunday, July 22, 2012, at her daughter's home in Jackson.

She was born Nov. 23, 1925, in Friedheim, daughter of Joseph J. and Emma Kester Kester. She and Milford T. Moore were married April 28, 1951, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Friedheim. He passed away Oct. 27, 1992.

Letha was baptized and confirmed at Trinity Church in Friedheim, where she had been a lifelong member. She taught school at Perryville, Mo., public schools, the former Shawneetown School, Immanuel Lutheran School at Perryville and St. Paul Lutheran School in Jackson.

Loving survivors include three daughters, Karen (Chris) Blattner of Jackson, Kathy (Kenneth) Lintner of Perryville, Karla (Dennis) Dolan of Oak Ridge; six grandchildren; and two great-granddaughters.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Albert (Bertha) Kester, Alfred (Marge) Kester and Gilbert (Bettye) Kester.

Friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. today at the chapel of McCombs Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Jackson, and from 9 a.m. until time of service Wednesday at Trinity Church in Friedheim.

The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the church, with the Rev. Roger Steinbrueck officiating. Interment will be in Russell Heights Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to Trinity Lutheran Church or Trinity Lutheran Cemetery at Friedheim.
