Lester R. Etheridge, 88, of 843 Morgan Oak died Saturday, Aug. 15, 1992, at his home.
He was born July 21, 1904, at Waverly, Tenn., the son of James D. and Margaret E. Moore Etheridge. On Oct. 20, 1951, he married Velma E. Lund in St. Louis. She preceded him in death Aug. 6, 1992.
He formerly worked as a hotel clerk in St. Louis and at Castel Ray Apartments in Cape Girardeau before his retirement in 1966. He was of the Baptist denomination.
Survivors include two sons, Nelson Etheridge of St. Louis and Dalton Ray Etheridge of Trenton, Tenn.; a granddaughter; and two great-grandchildren.
He also was preceded in death by a son and a brother.
Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. today at Ford and Sons Sprigg Street Chapel, where funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday. The Rev. Elston Chapman will officiate, and burial will be in Lorimier Cemetery in Cape Girardeau.
