JONESBORO, Ill. -- Funeral service for Lester Lewellyn, 63, of South Elgin, Ill. will be at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Norris and Son Funeral Home in Jonesboro.
He died Saturday, July 18, 1992, at the Sherman Hospital in Elgin.
He was born July 13, 1929, in Sullivan, Ind., the son of Lester and Mary Clerk Lewellyn. He was married to Janice Tweedy, who survives of the home.
He was a machine operator at Illinois Tool in Elgin and a member of the South Elgin Lion's Club.
Other survivors include his mother; five sons, Jack Lewellyn of Indiana, John Mark and Tim Alford Lewellyn, both of Elgin, Ron Lewellyn of South Elgin, and Lester Darren Lewellyn; two brothers, Darrell Lewellyn of St. Charles, Ill. and Bruce Lewellyn of Woodstock, Ill.; nine grandchildren; and a foster-daughter, Sharon Cook of North Lake, Ill.
Friends may call from 6-9 p.m. Tuesday at Norris and Sons Funeral Home in Jonesboro. Burial will be in the Jonesboro Cemetery.
