CHAFFEE -- Lester Jackson, 88, of Chaffee died Friday, Dec. 19, 1997, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.
He was born Jan. 24, 1909, in Thebes, Ill., son of Charlie and Stella Baker Jackson. He and Ada Mae Asher were married Aug. 7, 1926.
Jackson retired as an insole tacker at International Shoe Co. in Cape Girardeau. He was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church.
Survivors include his wife; two sons, Robert Jackson of Chaffee, William Jackson of Port St. Lucie, Fla.; nine grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by three sisters and a brother.
Friends may call at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Chaffee after 5 p.m. Sunday.
Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Monday at St. Paul Church, with the Rev. Wayne Schwiesow officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park in Cape Girardeau.
