MARBLE HILL -- Lester Floyd "Red" Filer, 81, of Marble Hill, died Tuesday, Sept. 22, 1992, in a farm tractor accident at his home.
He was born Sept. 19, 1911, near Marble Hill, son of Frederick and Julia Yount Filer. He and Jewell Beasley were married Sept. 5, 1936.
Filer was a retired co-owner of Lutesville Pallet Manufacturing Co. He was a member of Masonic Lodge 440 here.
Survivors include his wife; two sons, Jerry and Brad Filer of Marble Hill; a sister, Helen Brown of Jackson; seven grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a brother and three sisters.
Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Liley Funeral Chapel here. The Rev. John Englehart will officiate, with burial in Bollinger County Memorial Park.
Friends may call at the funeral home after 5 p.m. today.
